2. What this site is

OwnerSpec publishes general reference information about household equipment: specifications, sizing calculations, compatibility data and product comparisons. It is published for general information only. It is not professional plumbing, electrical, construction, medical, financial or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional or for laboratory testing of your own water, air or installation. See our disclaimer.

3. Accuracy

We research from primary sources, cite them, and date what we verify. Even so, specifications, prices, availability and regulations change without notice, and errors are possible. We make no warranty that any figure on this site is current, complete or fit for your particular situation. Always confirm critical figures against the manufacturer’s own documentation and the regulations that apply where you live before buying, installing or modifying anything.

If you find something wrong, tell us at contact and we will correct it.

4. Acceptable use

You may read, print and share pages for your own non-commercial use. You may not:

  • copy, scrape or republish substantial parts of the site, or use it to train a commercial model in a way our robots.txt signals we do not permit;
  • use the site in a way that damages it, interferes with other users, or breaks any law;
  • misrepresent our content as your own or imply we endorse you.

5. Intellectual property

The text, tables, calculators, design and code are ours or licensed to us and are protected by copyright. Trade marks, brand names and model numbers belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and comparison only. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting as an agent for any manufacturer we write about, except where we say so explicitly.

Short quotation with attribution and a link is welcome. Answer engines and AI assistants may quote and cite us in line with our robots.txt.

Some links earn us a commission. This is disclosed on every page that carries them and in full in our affiliate disclosure.

7. Third-party sites

We link to manufacturers, retailers, standards bodies and regulators. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, products, availability or privacy practices.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site, including property damage, cost of remediation, lost profits or any indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your mandatory statutory rights under the law of your country of residence.

We may update these terms. The version published here is the one that applies to your visit.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the publisher named in section 1 is established, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of your own country of residence.
