The Delta RP46074 fits MultiChoice 13/14 Series tub and showers produced after March 2006; the RP19804 fits Monitor 1300/1400 Series valves produced before March 2006, and Delta’s Q&A says the two are not interchangeable. The RP32104 fits Monitor 1700/1800 Series valves produced before March 2007 and 1500 Series valves after 1995; the RP46463 is the MultiChoice Universal 17 Series cartridge, and the RP47201 is the 17T TempAssure thermostatic cartridge, which Delta says does not fit 17 Series trim. At the sink, the RP50587 is the DIAMOND valve cartridge for one-handle DST faucets, 1-27/64 inches in diameter, and the RP25513 is the two-handle stem unit, paired with RP4993 seats and springs. Delta’s Lifetime Faucet and Finish Limited Warranty replaces a defective part free of charge for the original consumer purchaser for as long as they own the home, with the receipt, so call 1-800-345-3358 before buying any of them.

The RP19804 and RP46074 sit in the same 1400 Series trim and look like the same part in a photo: Delta wrote “these cartridge are not interchangeable” into its own Q&A because people pick by the trim and not by the valve’s date.

Delta’s RP46074 page defines single-function: the cartridge controls the temperature at full output flow. Delta’s guide warns that it “is not all inclusive” and that legacy and retail products have exceptions, so with no model number, Delta’s find-parts page offers a Product Identifier Tool that returns images of matching faucets, and its service page says to call 1-800-345-DELTA with the model number. Will Delta send the cartridge free?
Often, yes, and this is the step before any link on this page. Delta’s Lifetime Faucet and Finish Limited Warranty, DSA-0010, warrants “all parts and finishes of the faucet” to the original consumer purchaser “for as long as the original consumer purchaser owns their home”, and says Delta “will replace, FREE OF CHARGE, during the warranty period, any part or finish that proves defective”.
The conditions, from the same document: proof of purchase (the original sales receipt) must be made available for all claims, labor and installation damage are excluded, industrial, commercial and business purchasers get five years, the faucet must have been manufactured after January 1, 1995, and it must be installed in the USA, Canada or Mexico. Delta’s Q&A gives the number as 1-800-345-3358, Monday to Friday 7am to 7pm central and Saturday 8am to 5pm.
Call Delta before you buy
If you are the original buyer with the receipt, the cartridge above is a phone call, not a purchase. Buy the genuine RP46074 or the genuine RP32104 when you need it today, bought the house with the valve in it, or cannot find the receipt.
Genuine or aftermarket?
Delta’s warranty settles this more sharply than Moen’s: “any use of other than genuine replacement parts WILL VOID THE WARRANTY”. A look-alike cartridge that saves money today can cost a free part later. OwnerSpec has fitted neither, and the aftermarket kits carry only their sellers’ fit claims.
Stock decided which genuine parts are linked. On 30 September 2026 the Amazon catalog reported the genuine RP46074, RP32104 and RP25513 in stock; the RP19804, RP4993 and RP47201 showed scarce stock and the RP50587 and RP46463 showed an availability date, so those five are named but not linked.

Is the Delta RP19804 the same as the RP46074?
No. Delta's Q&A on the RP19804 page says the blue-and-white RP19804 fits only 1400 Series valves installed before 2006, the gray RP46074 fits MultiChoice Universal R10000 valve bodies installed after 2006, and the two cartridges are not interchangeable. Delta's RP46074 page repeats the cut-off: MultiChoice 13/14 Series produced after March 2006.
Which cartridge does a Delta 17 series shower take?
It depends on the valve's date. Delta's RP32104 page names it for Monitor 1700/1800 Series tub and showers produced before March 2007, and 1500 Series produced after 1995. Delta's common-parts page names the RP46463 the MultiChoice T17 series cartridge, dual-function and ASSE 1016 certified. A 17T TempAssure thermostatic trim takes the RP47201, which Delta says is incompatible with 17 Series trim.
Will Delta send a replacement cartridge for free?
Often. Delta's Lifetime Faucet and Finish Limited Warranty says Delta will replace, free of charge, during the warranty period, any part or finish that proves defective, for as long as the original consumer purchaser owns their home. Proof of purchase is required, labor is excluded, and commercial purchasers get five years. Delta's service line is 1-800-345-3358.
Does an aftermarket cartridge void the Delta warranty?
Delta's warranty text says any use of other than genuine replacement parts will void the warranty. That is stronger than Moen's wording, which only excludes damage the non-genuine part causes. OwnerSpec has fitted no aftermarket cartridge; the only published fit statements for those kits come from their sellers, not from Delta.
Which Delta kitchen faucet cartridge do I need, RP50587 or a ball?
Delta's kitchen common-parts page names the RP50587 as the one-handle DST cartridge used on most Delta DST kitchen and lavatory faucets, 1-27/64 inches in diameter. A non-DST single-handle faucet uses a ball assembly instead: RP70 for a lever handle, RP212 for a knob handle. Delta's model-number guide marks DST faucets with a DST suffix.
