Short answer

The DREO RO Water Filter 112 (the countertop unit sold on Amazon as ASIN B0GHP4KY1Z, shared with the WF113, WF114 and WF115 variants) takes one combo cartridge, sold on dreo.com as the RO Water Filter 112 & 113 & 114 & 115 Replacement Filter and rated 265 gallons (1,000 L) per that page; DREO prints no month interval. The DREO RO Water Filter 511, also countertop, takes three parts per DREO’s product pages: the DR-KPA018 RO cartridge, rated with the PPC stage at about 1,050 gallons (4,000 L) on DREO’s system page, the DR-KPA017 PPC cartridge, and the DR-KPA016 post carbon filter rated 6 months. Neither family fits the other machine, and DREO’s replacement filter page says only DREO filters can be used. DREO publishes no NSF/ANSI 58 listing: its blog says the 112 was tested by SGS and aligned with NSF/ANSI 58, and NSF’s Standard 058 database returned no DREO record on 2026-09-15. The spec that must match is the model family printed on the box.

The picks

  1. RO Water Filter 511 owners: the 6 month stage. 112 owners skip it, it does not fit

DREO Post Carbon Filter DR-KPA016 for the RO Water Filter 511

3rd stage post carbon, 6 month lifetime per DREO's page and the listing title; fits the RO Water Filter 511 only

  2. Not yet an owner: the 3 L tank countertop unit. Skip if a held NSF/ANSI 58 listing matters, DREO publishes none

DREO RO Water Filter 112 (system)

    0.8 gal (3 L) tank, 37 oz pitcher, about 200 to 260 mL/min per DREO's page; ships with one 265 gallon cartridge

  3. Not yet an owner: the 170 oz tank, 3:1 drain ratio unit. Skip if a held NSF/ANSI 58 listing matters, DREO publishes none

DREO RO Water Filter 511 (system)

170 oz tank, 3:1 pure-to-drain ratio, RO and PPC pair rated about 1,050 gallons per DREO's page; ships with all three cartridges

If the machine under your sink is plumbed to the cold line, this is the wrong page: DREO sells no under-sink RO system, and both units here are tank-fed countertop pitchers, so check the badge on the housing before ordering anything.

Which cartridges fit the DREO RO Water Filter 112 and 511?

DREO ties each replacement part to one filter family in its compatible-model line, so the 112 cartridge and the 511 cartridges are not interchangeable. The table is built from the compatible-model text and the capacity figure on each DREO product page.

PartFitsStageCapacity or interval (DREO’s figure)Rating printedWhere sold

DR-KPA016 post carbon filterRO Water Filter 511 only3rd stage6 months per DREO’s pageNot publisheddreo.com and amazon.com

One label conflict is worth knowing before you order. DREO’s 511 system page describes the RO and PPC pair as a combo that purifies up to 1,050 gallons, while Amazon’s variation table splits them into a 1st stage PPC cartridge and a 2nd stage RO cartridge with their own liter figures.

The part numbers agree on both sites, so buy by number, not by stage name. DREO’s support site lists a separate code for the 112 system itself, DR-KWF002, under RO Water Filter 112 / Version / Standard; that is the system’s own model code, not the cartridge’s part number, so it does not settle whether DR-KPA032 is the printed cartridge number.

For the 112, dreo.com sells the cartridge as a single and as a two-pack, with no Amazon listing to compare, and lists the three 511 parts (DR-KPA018, DR-KPA017 and DR-KPA016) separately. No price is printed here: dreo.com’s listed prices drift, and the part number is what has to match.

What else fits the same housing?

Nothing this page can vouch for. DREO’s RO Water Filter 511 replacement filter page states that only DREO filters can be used for replacement, and DREO publishes no cartridge dimensions, thread or O-ring spec that a generic maker could be matched against.

The certification picture matters more here than on most parts pages. DREO’s own blog says the 112 system was tested by SGS and aligned with NSF/ANSI 58 standards, which is a lab test claim, and the 511 pages publish no standard at all.

The difference between a test claim and a listing is set out in the NSF/ANSI standards guide. If a held NSF/ANSI 58 listing is a requirement, the countertop RO comparison covers which makers print one.

How often do they need replacing?

DREO publishes capacity in volume for the RO stages and a month figure only for the carbon stage, so the calendar interval depends on how much you draw. The 112 system’s own page gives a fill rate of about 200 to 260 mL/min, which is a flow figure, not a cartridge life. For the DR-KPA018 RO cartridge, DREO’s replacement filter page prints no month figure at all: it says only to “replace the filter regularly according to the filter life indicator,” the unit’s own light rather than a calendar date.

PartDREO’s intervalWhat shortens it
112 combo cartridge265 gallons (1,000 L); the unit’s filter life monitor counts it downHigh feed TDS, which loads the membrane faster; DREO prints no TDS limit
DR-KPA017 PPC2,000 L and 1 year per the Amazon listing titleSediment and chlorine in the feed
DR-KPA018 ROAbout 1,050 gallons (4,000 L) for the pair; DREO’s page says replace per the filter life indicator, no month printed; 2 years per the Amazon listing titleA TDS reading that stops falling; see the TDS meter guide
DR-KPA016 post carbon6 monthsTaste returning before the date; the RO water tastes bad guide walks through that symptom

Check price on Amazon

The 6 month carbon stage is the part a 511 owner buys most, twice for each PPC cartridge and four times for each RO cartridge if the listing-title intervals hold. Slow fill on either unit is more often the RO stage than the carbon; the RO slow flow guide separates the two.

Which DREO filter to buy

The honest limit of this page is that DREO’s 112 cartridge could not be found on amazon.com at all on 2026-09-15, and two of the three 511 cartridges (DR-KPA018 and DR-KPA017) had live Amazon pages with nothing to buy, so dreo.com is the working source for four of the five parts. The one part that was in stock is the DR-KPA016 post carbon filter , and it fits the RO Water Filter 511 only: a 112 owner should not buy it. If you own neither machine yet, the RO Water Filter 112 ships with one 265 gallon cartridge and the RO Water Filter 511 with all three stages, and neither carries an NSF listing, so decide on the standard first.

Frequently asked questions

Which replacement filter fits the DREO RO Water Filter 112?

One combo cartridge, sold on dreo.com as the RO Water Filter 112 & 113 & 114 & 115 Replacement Filter and rated 265 gallons (1,000 L) per that page. DREO lists the compatible models as WF112, WF113, WF114 and WF115 and calls it a 7-stage RO composite cartridge. No live amazon.com listing for it was found on 2026-09-15, so DREO's own store is the source.

Which replacement filters fit the DREO RO Water Filter 511?

Three part numbers, per DREO's product pages: DR-KPA018, the RO cartridge that DREO's system page rates with the PPC stage at about 1,050 gallons (4,000 L); DR-KPA017, the PPC cartridge sold on its own; and DR-KPA016, the post carbon filter rated 6 months. Each page lists only the DREO RO Water Filter 511 as the compatible model, so none of them fits the 112.

Is the DREO reverse osmosis filter NSF/ANSI 58 certified?

DREO publishes no NSF listing. DREO's own blog says the RO Water Filter 112 was tested by SGS and aligned with NSF/ANSI 58 standards, which is a testing claim by a third-party lab, not a certification held by a listing body. NSF's Standard 058 database returned No Matching Products Found for DREO on 2026-09-15, and the 511 pages publish no standard at all.

Are there third-party cross-fit filters for DREO reverse osmosis systems?

None that this page can point to. DREO's RO Water Filter 511 replacement filter page states that only DREO filters can be used for replacement, and no NSF/ANSI listed cross-fit cartridge exists because NSF holds no DREO record to cross-fit against. Whether unlisted generic cartridges on the Amazon marketplace fit was not checked, so the page makes no claim either way.

How often does the DREO RO Water Filter 511 post carbon filter need changing?

DREO rates the DR-KPA016 post carbon filter at 6 months on its product page, which makes it the shortest interval in the 511. Amazon's listing title for the DR-KPA017 PPC cartridge says 1 year and for the DR-KPA018 RO cartridge 2 years, so a 511 owner buys the carbon stage twice for each PPC cartridge and four times for each RO cartridge.

Assumptions
  • The 112 cartridge’s part number DR-KPA032 appears only in DREO’s product image filename, not in the page text, so it is treated as unconfirmed until read off the box.
  • DREO’s 511 system page calls the RO and PPC pair a combo rated 1,050 gallons; Amazon’s variation table labels DR-KPA018 the 2nd stage RO cartridge (4,000 L, 2 year) and DR-KPA017 the 1st stage PPC cartridge (2,000 L, 1 year). Both labelings are reported; neither was checked against a physical cartridge.
  • No third-party cross-fit cartridge was checked for fit; DREO’s page states only DREO filters can be used.
